Hello, and welcome to the Enchanted Images blog! We are James & Stefani, a husband & wife photography team based in Roseville, California. We are so passionate and excited about what we get to do as photographers that we want to share it, and that's what this blog is for. The blog is both a personal and professional journal, and we hope you enjoy getting to know us and our work. Please also visit our main site at www.enchantedimages.net

Stef and I were asked to come upstairs and watch the girls perform scenes from “Enchanted” the other night. Reilly and Teagan couldn’t agree on who was to be the princess…so they both were. In case you haven’t seen the film, the story constantly references “True Love’s kiss”…and now so do Reilly and Miss T.

In fact, on a somewhat regular basis, we hear Teagan shouting from upstairs – “HELLLOOO..I’M WAITING FOR TRUE LOVE’S KISS!!!”

…and keeps this up till one of us goes up and smooches her.

Reilly snapping a photo before the smooch.

MIss K came for her 1-year portraits and brought along the greatest outfits! (okay, mom brought the great outfits, but they looked fabulous on little K!). This is the 2nd time we’ve photographed K in the past year, and she’s always a bit pensive but then warms up to allow us some great images. Doesn’t she just have the best hair?

I got tired of consistently losing to Reilly in Uno so I challenged her and Teagan to a game of Sorry. Apparently she had played the game before (thanks grandma) and proceeded to beat the pants off me….twice..

She was not sorry.

Both these lovely girls have been gracing our presence since they were wee little ones. Miss S.(older sis) was as full of spunk and sassiness as we could ask for, and was a hoot to chase around the neighborhood. Little sister A was all smiles and just loved strutting her stuff in her fancy duds.

Ray & Angie have had the girls here many times over the years, and each time they act more excited than the last. Their kids are their absolute pride and joy, and there is no mistaking it.

A great reward in what we do is watching families grow, and getting to know them each time they return. Something I’ve noticed about Ray & Angie is that when they are here, they act like they haven’t seen their kids for a month or more…really, it’s a hugfest every time! Seeing them is always a great reminder to me to treasure this valuble time in life…thanks to you both for that. Now, about them boots…

My mom came up from San Diego last week to visit for a few days. I love it when she visits, the house just seems warmer and more cheery when she’s here. Sorry to break it to you mom, but a few days is just not enough. We are all very sad now…you must stay longer next time.

Here are some of the highlights Reilly and Teagan have been reminding me of since she left…

“But dad…Grandma reads us THREE books every night!!”

“Dad…you HAVE to color with us…GRANDMA did…”

“Dad, do you want to watch Enchanted?”

Other highlights:

Grandma met her match in Uno with Reilly, we watched the movie ‘Enchanted’ two three four times while she was here, an awesome game of whiffle ball on the driveway, watching Carrie Underwood videos on GRANDMA’S ipod, and some lovely meals.

Thanks for coming mom, we really appreciate your time here!

Love, Stef, Reilly, Teagan & me.

This is Mr. D, who recently “graduated” from his Bebe Collection (1st year program). It’s unbelievable how fast a baby’s 1st year goes by and how much they change; being a part of this most important 1st year is my absolute favorite part of what we do. D came for his first session around 3 months, and he looked so dashing even then! He never really had a “baby face,” but rather the face of a handsome young man. D’s family is one that we’ve grown to love (my other absolute favorite part of what we do!); we first met them when they brought big sis, Miss O, almost 2 years ago. She’s got quite the famous face, which has been our business cards for some time now. Working with this family has been the best…thanks for bringing your beautiful kiddos to us!

We’re getting ready for our 1st-ever Limited Edition event, Little Angels. We’re so excited, as these are the most unbelievable angel wings we’ve ever seen, and they will only come out at the Limited Edition event each year. We’ve had some questions about whether these would be appropriate for older kids, and the answer is yes! We’re doing a little more “edgy angel” for the tween crowd (contact us for more information). There are still a few spots left, so don’t miss out!

Meet Brad.

Brad is new to the modeling biz is building quite the portfolio. Can’t believe he has only been doing this a month, he has some great looks. Wonderful to work with, excellent taste in clothes, and as Stef puts it, easy on the eyes….

Best of luck Brad!
