Ah the little Gilly twins…

We have been photographing these two since before they could walk and we adore every visit. A couple of young beauties that always seem to know just what to do. It seems only yesterday we were making photographs of them rolling around in diapers and now Miss R looks like she is ready for ‘W’ magazine.

Brother J is looking dashing as well and has one of the best smiles on the planet. Thanks for the great time!

Well our baby little girl turmed six today and had a wonderful time with a few friends for the party. She started the day at Petroglyph, a pottery painting boutique and made a beautiful mess. The girls all chose their ceramics then got to go wild with their choice of paint.

Next it was back to the house where they dined on fresh pizza, soda, and finished with some amazing cupcakes from Icing the Cupcake…yummy! Here are a few from the day, stay tuned for more.

THE PLACE.

THE PLAYERS.

One more thing…

Don’t know where this gift came from, but ummm…not sure what to say…

thanks?

What happens when you lock your keys in the car on a location session?

You call Triple A and keep making photgraphs of course!

This gorgeous family came to us for a beautiful location session in El Dorado Hills and arrived ready to have some fun. Stef and I had so much fun we I decided to lock the keys in the car and stay a while. Thankfully, Jeff had a phone on him AND it had service (hard to get in this area).

Well it all worked out. The delay caused the sun to drop a bit more and we got some of our favorite photographs of the day. Thanks Jeff & Samantha for putting up with our silliness on this adventure!

These fun images were from beautiful baby A’s second Bebe session. We’ve grown quite fond of Miss A and her parents, as we’re set to photograph Eric & Samantha’s wedding this September in Lake Tahoe (we’re so excited, as this wedding is going to be amazing!). These are 2 of the most loving, genuine people we’ve ever met, and we’re thrilled beyond words to share in their wedding and family. Stay tuned to see some fun engagement portraits we did last week….

Reilly has never taken particularly well to the water. Last year when Stef and I enrolled her in the city swim lessons, it basically turned into ‘splash’ lessons. At the end of several weeks, our little star was a pro at standing on the steps and splashing water around…

This year we were encouraged to enroll her in a smaller more focussed private class. Good choice..Reilly was swimming by the second session. At the end of the course she passed all the tests and earned her level 1 “frog” status.

Now if only I trusted Miss T in the pool….

You might remember Miss E’s gorgeous mom & dad from their maternity portraits that were posted a while back here. Well, fast forward a couple of months and beautiful baby E is here! I have to point out that E was only about 5 days old in these portraits, but you’d never know it because she weighed 9 pounds when she was born (even more shocking is how tiny her mom is)! E’s mom and dad, who also happen to be very good friends of ours, had to rush to get her newborn portraits done as dad had to head back to work in Arizona where the family is now living (we’re so sad!!). It was so bittersweet for us to take these precious photographs because we knew it was the last we’d be seeing of baby E and her parents for a while. Please come back to visit us soon….we miss you guys!!

The Olson kids have been coming to us since big brother, G, was just a baby. He is fondly known around here as the “Cheerio kid” because it took many Cheerios in his mouth to keep him happy at his first session (and there were lots of images with him clearly sucking on them!). Well, G is the ripe old age of four now and little Sis, A, is two. They were so cute together (I wish my kids liked each other that much!) and my absolute favorite is the one of them head to head on the sofa. Aren’t A’s bright red curls delicious? So cute!!

Miss M came to us all the way from Arizona for her one-year portrait session! I talked to M’s mom over a year ago, when M was just a new baby, about these portraits that she wanted to have made when she turned one. What planning!! The Caramello’s were referred to us by some friends here and we feel awfully special that they decided to make the effort to have these portraits made so far from home. M was the perfect mix of adorable and gorgeous and has the MOST AMAZING peepers we’ve ever seen! Thanks to the entire Caramello family for the extra efforts you made to come see us during your visit, and we wish you the best of luck on the big move you have coming up….drop us a line when you get back from across the ocean!

More from this fabulously elegant wedding…check the first post here.

Lindsey & Davide, thank you again for having us share this day, and to be part of this beautiful event. We smile every time we see these. Hope you all enjoy them as much as we did. Best of wishes from across the ocean!

For those that missed the first post, Lindsey and Davide live in Italy, and made this occasion very special and intimate. The reception almost felt like we were in another country!

First dance…they couldn’t keep their hands off each other.

Signing the marriage certificate on the hearth of the huge fireplace…cool.

And the rings…anyone guess where these were?

We had the good fortune of meeting the Ferrell family thanks to our friends at the Silver Spoon children’s boutique. Heidi and Brad are two of the nicest people you’ll ever meet, and holy cow what a gorgeous family!!! Okay, so they are all beautiful, but little Miss L was clearly trying to steal the show from her pretty mama. We liked this first image so much that we put a 30×40 of the full, vertical version on display at the Silver Spoon (we’re pretty sure Heidi and Brad liked it too, as they now have a beautifully framed 30×40 fine art canvas of their own!). What’s even more fun is that we got to meet the newest little Ferrell earlier today for his newborn session….stay tuned!
