Hello, and welcome to the Enchanted Images blog! We are James & Stefani, a husband & wife photography team based in Roseville, California. We are so passionate and excited about what we get to do as photographers that we want to share it, and that's what this blog is for. The blog is both a personal and professional journal, and we hope you enjoy getting to know us and our work. Please also visit our main site at www.enchantedimages.net

Happy New Year!  We hope this finds you filled with plenty of good cheer, good company, and good food after the holidays.  We were fortunate to have all of these things this year (maybe a little too much of the good food…) and look forward to what 2012 has in store. We’re hoping it brings more wonderful people into our lives like the Booth’s, featured here.  We’ve combined the Booth maternity and newborn session here, which is fun to see the progression all at one time.  Mama K was fun and ready for anything, and J, like any good new father-to-be, was willing to do whatever his beautiful bride wanted. 🙂  Their openness made for beautiful images for sure.  Enter Baby B a bit later–what an absolute angel boy!  He was super alert and content for such a new baby–we were fortunate to really see his big alert eyes; at this age most babies are either sleeping or crying…:-)  J & K were beaming new parents, as well they should be, and we especially loved the image with Baby B nestled in on mom’s chest.  Pure, sweet, priceless…

Can’t wait to see them again soon for B’s next session–we can only imagine how fun he’s going to be this time around!  Meet the Booth family:

Meet Samantha – class of 2012.  We have been photographing Samantha and her sisters for a few years now, but this time we got to see a little different side of her personality.  Mom and Stephanie(younger sister) came to help out, but it the show was all Samantha’s for sure.  I love it when seniors are uninhibited and completely comfortable as she was.  Most of the time I might as well have been invisible, Samantha seemed to just be in her own world…perfect!  And again, great wardrobe and makeup…made for a great session!  Some faves.

You may remember these lovely folks from their wedding sneak peek a while back.  There were just too many great images not to share more, so enjoy this, the story of two wonderful people committing their lives to each other and allowing us the privilege of capturing it, beginning with the wedding rehearsal!

The Fraley family was kind enough to bid on and win one of our auction donations at their school fundraising event, and decided to take advantage of the family portrait session right before a big change in their life.  When I say right before, I mean RIGHT before…days after they came for their ordering appointment the entire family moved to the east coast!  We had a great time getting to know the Fraley’s and were sad to see them go, but before they did, like in so many other instances, we were reminded yet again what a small world it is.  Turns out that James and Jeremy are both Christian High alums (San Diego).  What are the odds of that?!  Fraley family, we hope you are enjoying your new life (and cold weather!) at your new home!

Meet Kayla – class of 2012.  I just love it when seniors bring ideas.  I love it more when mom (Lisa) brings the bicycle and fresh flowers to her daughters session!  This was a special day for sure.  We didn’t talk about this idea at Kayla’s design consultation so this look was a nice surprise and it worked really well.  The light was gorgeous that day and so was Kayla.  We started in the studio with that lovely sparkly top, then it was off to the neighborhood to chase some light.  Thank you Kayla and Lisa for such a great experience, I really had a wonderful time.

Ho! Ho! Ho!  What’s that you hear?  Sleighbells near the Enchanted Images studio?  Why yes–Santa is on his way once again!  Our 3rd annual Santa Portrait Toys 4 Tots charity event is back!  This year we’re partnering with our neighbors at NCDC (Northern California Dance Conservatory) to bring our wonderful Santa to you once again.  You’re invited to join us with your little ones for classic Santa Portraits; with your new, unwrapped toy donation you will receive a 5×7 print of your Santa portrait in time for Christmas.  For the first time ever, we’re also offering a digital file option for those of you who would like to use your adorable Santa portrait for your own holiday cards.  Please be sure to fill out our online registration form prior to coming to the event (it also has all of the information you will want/need before the event) to keep things flowing smoothly at the event.  The form can be accessed by clicking HERE.  Look forward to seeing you all soon!

It became very clear that the holiday season had officially arrived when I saw Santa at the mall yesterday (on November 11!) and unusually heavy traffic in the area near the Roseville Galleria.  Let the fun and celebrations of the season begin!  Right about now is also when most people are starting to think about the holiday cards they will send over the next month or so.  While it’s too late to schedule a holiday session now, it’s definitely not too late to order cards from a session you may have had with us in the past year.  What better way to check a to-do off your list and send a beautiful custom card featuring your own family all at the same time?!  If you’re interested in ordering custom cards, please contact us within the next few weeks to ensure holiday delivery.  Season’s greetings and may your holidays be merry & bright!

We have photographed the Pope family before, but never while they were actually living in California, so this time was an extra-special treat!  They moved to Napa this year and wanted us to capture their beautiful family in their new surroundings–a gorgeous Napa vineyard.  Of course we were thrilled, not only to be seeing them again, but to have an excuse to jaunt off to Napa for a day.  What can I say–something magical happens every time we photograph this lovely family.  Miss V was in exceptional form and played right along with my hide-and-seek games between the grape vines.  Now if only we could transport this amazing location to our own backyard….:-).  Meet the Pope family–again!
