We first met the Holthe family earlier in the year when Miss N was about 7 months old or so. They decided to come back to commemorate N’s 1st birthday and to capture her walking earlier this fall. Our goal was to warm her up, as she is a very tentative little thing and takes her time to decide if she might bless you with her beautiful smile. Well, she gave us some great looks this time around, and mom and dad weren’t too shabby, either! They’re just a lovely family all around and we’re fortunate to have seen them twice this year!

This was the adorable Miss G’s third Bebe session with us, shortly after she turned one. This was a huge milestone session for her, as they always are, but especially so since she was getting ready to undergo open heart surgery shortly after this session. I’m so happy to report that everything went well and she’s doing great, a couple months later. G is just the sweetest little girl; I don’t think I have EVER heard her cry!

We first met the Hattendorf’s when they brought big sis, Miss S, to our Mommy & Me Portraits for the Cure event in May. Mom then met with us shortly before her due date to discuss her vision for newborn portraits of baby girl #2, which brings us to these lovely images. Meet Miss A, who came to visit us when she was only a week old (mom called from the hospital to schedule her session, shortly after having a c-section!). We were glad that they brought A so soon, because as you can see, she barely looked newborn even at a week old (she weighed in at 8 lbs. 13 oz. at birth!). These images were especially sweet for everyone involved, as the pregnancy was rocky to say the least. As mom kept telling us, though, was it was worth every minute, because look at what she got at the end…..look indeed, at this beautiful miracle!

Getting to photograph sweet baby Kellan was an extra special treat, as he (and his brothers) belong to my good friend from college. Gretchen and I met on the first day of sorority rush at UC Davis (went different sororities) and have remained friends all these years. I’m sad to say that we don’t see each other enough, but it’s one of those friendships that never diminishes, no matter how long it’s been. We’re so privileged to have been able to photograph all three of her sweet boys from the very beginning; they have all been such great newborns to love on! Congratulations to you my friend, a true supermom!

Beautiful baby Grace “graced” us with her presence and stole our hearts along the way. Her story is heartwarming in so many ways; her mom and dad adopted her and brought her home from Ghana just a few short months ago. She was only 8 months when we photographed her, and she was already walking and super outgoing and happy. She is obviously a blessing to her parents’ lives, and we felt so honored and blessed to meet and photograph this little angel baby.

Some of you who follow our blog might remember the Beard maternity session–momma was wearing hubby’s firefighting turnouts in some of their images and we loved them! The moment we met the Beard’s we loved them, for so many reasons, and when we met Baby J for the first time, we fell in love with him, too! They really wanted to incorporate dad’s helmet this time, and he was almost too big for it but we managed to catch just one shot, and luckily it worked! We love that they have continued the theme of dad’s firefighting profession/passion during their first two sessions, and I have a feeling we’ll end up incorporating it in his next two this year as well. Meet Baby J….

We met the Hansen family for the first time last December at the Red Chair-ity Event at the Silver Spoon boutique; since then, it’s been nothing but great times every chance we get to see them. T’s big sis, Miss E, was one of our Cutest Kid Model Search participants last winter, and we saw Mr. T for his 2nd Bebe session a short bit ago. Mom brought him alone this time, and he was so good during his session that I missed almost the whole thing when I ran out just to pick Reilly up from gymnastics! It was a good thing that we captured his awesome hair-do here, b/c days later they buzzed it off thinking he was coming down with chicken-pox (ended up being a false alarm….but the new “do” was there anyway!). Love this sweet boy….love his wonderful family!

Young G paid us a visit for his 2nd Bebe session a while back, and he was happy as could be, as are most of our little friends at this age. G couldn’t take a bad shot if he tried! We are especially grateful to the Cameto’s for sharing their sweet boy with us, as they have been coming to Roseville from the Walnut Creek area to see us since their maternity session last year. Don’t you just want to squeeze him?

Little K visited us for her second Bebe session a while back and we’re so excited to share some of her images. I love the variety that comes along once babies can sit up, support themselves, and even suck on a toe or two! It’s so hard to pick a favorite from her session because they’re all so wonderfully unique, just like K is! Can’t wait for next time around when she’s walking….:-)

We met the McVey family about 2 years ago when Shannon was pregnant with their first baby, Mr. C. We were thrilled when they asked us to capture both their maternity portraits as well as C’s first year, even though they live in Livermore. When C “graduated” from his first year sessions, it was bittersweet, but alas, young baby brother, another Mr. C, came along a few months later! So, lucky for us, we get to spend another year documenting one of our favorite families. Baby C. was sweet as could be during his session, and almost made me wishing for another myself….ALMOST, but not quite! 🙂
