Hello, and welcome to the Enchanted Images blog! We are James & Stefani, a husband & wife photography team based in Roseville, California. We are so passionate and excited about what we get to do as photographers that we want to share it, and that's what this blog is for. The blog is both a personal and professional journal, and we hope you enjoy getting to know us and our work. Please also visit our main site at www.enchantedimages.net

When Brittany arrived with her mom and showed us this dress, we knew we were in for something special. Sure there are other photographs with different outfits, but Stef and I just thought these were…wow.

We have been making this young woman’s portraits for a few years now and as always, she lit it up. Thanks Brittany for continuing to inspire us, and for letting us capture this time in your life.

Brother & sis, N & G, came to us this time with some ideas of what they wanted for their portraits (they each got to choose one for their rooms). They’re both really into skateboarding right now, so they came with boards in hand ready for some fun, casual portraits to show how “cool” they are. They were so fun and ready to try anything James suggested, which included a little trip down to the Amtrak station in old Roseville (see last image). We just love venturing out to find interesting and out-of-the-ordinary spots for portraits, and this is one of our recent favs!

Friday was our good friend Jourdan’s birthday so we stole away to a nice little gathering for dinner. The littlest McClure came along and just hung out in his high chair soaking it all in. Topped it off with a pie & candle and some very full bellies.

Dude, it has been great knowing you these years. Thanks for continually pulling on my creative strings and I’ll continue to pull on yours. And someday…someday…we will work on a project together.

Jourdan is a filmmaker (a fine one at that), and ONE of these days, we’ll make that zombie film.

Happy birthday!

Miss R, another one of our Bebe members, might just be a ballerina in training. She’s a petite little thing and moves faster than us old people! She’s so curious and bright, and always on the move. We were all shocked when we were able to perch her on our column without her trying to dive off. It’s funny how even the wiggliest kids will sit still on it; I think they realize it’s a perch and sense that diving off wouldn’t be a good idea (of course mom and I were on each side ready to catch her if she changed her mind!). We’re sure to be running out of breath when she’s back for her one-year portraits, and loving every minute of it!

This little muffin just celebrated her 1st birthday and her graduation from our Bebe Collection. We have come to know her family so well over the past three years, as her older siblings, twins Reese & Jackson, have not only graduated from their own 1st year sessions, but are now well into their Bebe Diplome years! Stay tuned to the blog, as they’re coming to visit next month for their 3-year portraits. We hope mom & dad keep having babies, because they’re darn cute kids and we love seeing this family, who are now just as much friends as they are clients. Thanks to them for giving us the honor of being their family’s photographer/historian!

This Little Angel is Anna Bella, my best friend’s little girl. Keli lives in San Diego, so we don’t get to see each other nearly enough, but she always makes sure to make an annual trip for Anna’s portraits. Anna just turned two and did such a good job, given the busy state she’s in at this point in life. She made fast friends with a neighborhood cat that was on the sidewalk outside; in fact, the kitty decided to join her in most of her outdoor portraits. Luckily mom loves cats and thought it was cute!

We were asked to do some product photography for the Silver Spoon in Granite Bay and had a very short deadline. No time to consult our model list…Reilly got the job.

In fine fashion she lit it up for us and performed wonderfully. Dress a young girl in a fancy dress and a bouquet and sparks fly…unless that girl is Teagan.

As you can see, Miss T was less than photogenic here. Once she saw the ladybugs and moths, that was pretty much it for her.

Oh well, it gave us an opportunity to focus on the star for the evening.

Thanks to Marie Ortman for the help, very much appreciated!

I spent a lot of time with my grandparents(mom’s side) growing up, and those times have some of my fondest memories. It wasn’t until I was much older that I realized not all grandparents were as cool as mine. What, you mean yours don’t spend a Saturday with you watching the NFL draft?

So when Stef got a call from Barbara here to make some “cool” portraits of her and her grandson, I was thrilled. We had a great time and got to hear plenty of stories from their past. I couldn’t help but be reminded of my relationship with my grandparents and all the great times we had (if only they lived a little closer!)

Thanks Barbara and Jason for sharing some of yourselves with us, we really enjoyed it.

It’s hard to believe that our “little” miss Teagan is 3 years old today. Our life has been fuller, more fun, and definitely unpredictable since our comedian was born, and we wouldn’t change a bit of it! Teagan is so full of life and lives for the pure enjoyment of the moment; we could all take a lesson or two from her. She celebrated on Sunday with a Princess Party in our backyard, and today we will go out for special birthday cupcakes. Happy Birthday Teagan! We love you!

Meet baby I. This little guy was very relaxed in the studio and couldn’t decide whether he wanted to nap or just lay there looking cute…so we photographed both! Big brother joined in on some of the action and then we topped it off with mom & dad. Don’t they look fabulous?
