We snuck away for a short R&R trip to Carmel with the girls. Stef is awesome about planning impromptu things like this, and I am truly grateful. It was a wonderful time. Weather was perfect contrary to the reports, and the girls had a great time playing on the beach and exploring the town at our leisurely pace.

Sassy Miss C. was another one of our Cutest Kid entrants from earlier in the year, as well as another one of our “small world” encounters. When C and her mom were here for the 1st time, I immediately realized I knew them from somewhere. It turns out the Miss C. and our Reilly were in the same pre-school class together when they were just three! Well, C is all grown up now at the ripe old age of six and gave us some amazing looks; our fun hats worked perfectly with her sparkly blue eyes and gorgeous hair. It was so great running into them again…such a small world around here!

First off, sorry for the lagging blog posts lately…it’s been a crazy couple of weeks! Anyhow, you might remember the fabulous Miss S. from our Cutest Kid contest a bit ago. This lovely little girl just turned 4 in February (yes, she was still 3 when we photographed her!) yet somehow managed to work the camera like a pro! Kudos to mom, by the way, for the amazing clothing she brought. We were all dying throughout her session, in disbelief at how natural and poised she was in front of the camera, and also how well she took direction. She was one of our finalists who modeled on stage at the Sacramento stop of Sandy Puc’ Tots to Teens national tour. She wowed the crowd there just as much as here. I do believe this little diva has a very bright future!

We’re a bit slow on our blogging right now for various reasons, part of which included a busy Easter weekend and a fun trip to Carmel/Monterey last week (more to come on that!). These are a few of our favorites from Easter Sunday…it’s a tradition of ours to go to Easter brunch at the Hall’s, who are basically family in an extended sort of way. 🙂 They live on 3 acres in Roseville and have the best Easter egg hunt for the kids each year, not to mention the always entertaining trampoline. The girls had a great time, as always. It was the perfect way to celebrate such an important day!

Brittany is no stranger to the Enchanted studio and has been coming to us for several years now. So when it was time to book her senior session, she was ready. An avid ice skater, she wanted to have some portraits on the ice that were a little different. So she decided to wear her prom dress on the rink. Good call! And just when I thought she was out of cool duds, she transformed into a 1930’s starlet in a beautiful silky green gown. Wow!

Our 2010 highschool senior season has officially begun and is in full swing. We decided to give this division the attention it deserves and Enchanted Images is proud to present ENCHANTED SENIORS. Be sure to check out the new site and let us know what you think! www.enchantedseniors.com. Here are the first of our 2010 models showing their stuff for our brand new model program. Model positions are very limited and we are full on several schools. A few positions remain so if you or someone you know think you have what it takes, give us a call or check out our facebook page for more info. Be sure to check out the trailer for the upcoming Enchanted Seniors/Heritage Apparel fashion shoot at the bottom of the post directed by the super cool Jourdan McClure.

We met the Renzullo family a few years back when big sis was just about the same age baby brother is now. Miss O is just as gorgeous as she was then, with eyelashes to create envy among those of us who can only dream…Well, the family came back to capture little brother at the same age as well as an updated family portrait, and we were so happy to see them again! The kids were amazing in front of the camera, and my favorite image was the one here of little N with his thumb in his mouth…it doesn’t get any sweeter than that!

Congratulations to Miss Sophia, who is the official Cutest Kid finalist for Sacramento! The city finalists were determined soley by online votes, and she will now go into the national round of judging as one of 50 finalists from around the country. We are so proud of all of our entrants and want to thank all who participated in raising money for such a good cause. You can see the gallery of national finalists here.
The grand prize winner will be announced in early May and will receive a $5,000 savings bond and a Canon camera! Good luck to our very own Cutest Kid!!!

Just a reminder, voting for the National Cutest Kid contest ends tomorrow at midnight. Things have gotten really close in the last few days so here is you last chance! And remember, all the proceeds go to the wonderful NILMDTS organization. Also, the winner receives a $5000 savings bond and a camera!

Mom and dad celebrate 40 years of marriage today (no joke!). A few weeks ago, all the siblings were in town for the first time in years. While we were up at the house, we made an extended family portrait (thanks Caryn!)
Man there is a lot of us Hays peeps! Next is mom & dad with all the grandkids (except for one more in the oven) You both should be proud. Happy anniversary!
