Meet Katelin. When we met with Katelin and her dad at the design consultation, they had a specific studio portrait in mind. She brought some wonderful outfits that I felt would also work great outdoors. With some minor coaxing we ventured outside and got some great images to compliment the ones in the studio. Katelin had fantastic hair, and a last minute updo made a really fun look. Some faves.

Meet Emily. Just a few more to go on the blog for 2011 seniors, I’ll catch up I promise!
Emily brought quite the wardrobe to her design consultation, and after some thought, I made a rare location suggestion…a cemetery. I’m not sure I even got the word out of my mouth before she agreed. We couldn’t have picked a more perfect day. Gorgeous clouds, and some nice late sunlight really added to the look of this session. Then of course, Emily. She nailed the look and the mood. Very well done! Some faves.

We started documenting Miss K when she was still in mama’s tummy…fast-forward to her second Bebe session (my favorite age!!). Kudos to mom for all of the darling outfits and hair accessories, but K would have been adorable regardless; her million different expressions were accessory enough! 🙂 While K was awesome in the studio, it was a pretty cold & windy day outside, and she was pretty much over it by the time we ventured outdoors. We have to give a big thank you to K’s grandpa for saving the day outside and getting those last few amazing expressions! Meet Miss K (again…):

We’re so excited to announce our first-ever summer special portrait event! These petite sessions will provide two distinct looks, giving you timeless heirloom portraits as well as modern images that capture your child’s personality. The best part–no stress wardrobe! Classic white or cream will look great for both looks, and we even have a limited selection of wardrobe and headbands that can be used if needed (please ask about size availability). These sessions will book up quickly, so be sure to call to secure your time. Forgot to mention one other thing–this is our first event in our brand-new studio in Roseville! Can’t wait to see you there!
Still very behind blogging and have just a few more 2011 seniors to post! Meet Jillian – class of 2011. I knew from the moment we met this would be a great experience. Jillian was VERY into the whole process…from location, to hair & makeup, and of course her lovely outfits & accessories. We decided an everywhere session would be best since she had such different looks. Started in the studio and then off to the grassy fields to show off that gorgeous dress and those boots. Thanks Jillian for another great adventure and for being so wonderful to work with. Some faves.

The girls were in rare form and decided they wanted to have a “serious” photo shoot. Stef and I had to drop everything to accommodate, but were glad we did. We splashed on a little makeup, got some new clothing options, and voila! They decided to be little models. It had been a while since we have had them both in the studio and just reminded me how fast they are growing up 🙁
Here are some of our favorites. Reilly particularly enjoyed her magazine cover…

If you visit our blog regularly, you’ll recall a sneak peek of Thomas & Kasie’s gorgeous wedding a while back. There were just too many fantastic images from the day not to share more. They were married at Serrano Country Club in El Dorado Hills, and it was certainly a day to remember! Everything about this day was perfect–even the clouds! A few more images to celebrate the new Mr. & Mrs. Eaton:

First off, our apologies for the lack of updates lately–we spent the last week in San Diego with James’ entire family, celebrating his grandmother’s 90th birthday and just generally having fun. Stay tuned for images from that, as well as more updates about what else has been taking up a good deal of our time lately–moving into the new Enchanted studio (again, stay tuned for images!).
Now that I have that off my chest, on to more important things, like the lovely Perdue family. We knew photographing this family would be a fun challenge, as they described wanting anything but “typical.” They showed up fabulously frocked and up for anything; when I say anything, I mean anything. Their session was on one of the windiest days in recent memory. Thankfully a little wind and chill didn’t intimidate them! We ended up down by the train tracks, and found a spot under the bridge that we first went to in an effort to block the wind, but found out it had more merit than just blocking the wind. Just for fun at the end, we went further down the tracks. Literally a minute or two after telling them that trains never come by when we’re down there, lo and behold, a train began approaching. Jackpot! Our favorite images (and theirs) of the day came as a result of this happy accident. I should also mention, even though obvious through the images, that miss S was quite the show-stopper. Thanks to the Perdue family for sticking with us through the cold and wind–it was worth it! In fact, we loved one of their images so much that it is hanging in the gallery of our new studio…
Meet Isabel. When we met with her at her design consultation, she brought a wonderful variety of outfits, from soft to edgy to editorial/catalog looks. Every one perfectly planned, we made sure we matched the environment to her look. Ran into some interesting “onlookers” downtown that gave us a laugh, then it was out to the fields for a softer look. Thank you Isabel for being so confident in front of the camera, it really showed in these images. Here are some faves.
