The Albu family was another of our Bebe clients that we were fortunate enough to document for their baby’s first year. Watching Miss S grow and change over her first year was fantastic, especially because she has so much personality! There’s nothing better than getting to know and grow with a family over their child’s first year of life. Meet the Albu family!

It’s that time of year again! We’re pleased to announce our 6th annual Costumes & Cans Halloween charity event. We partner with the Placer Food Bank to collect canned food to help those in need in our community. Last year we collected over 2,000 pounds of food thanks to all of you!! You will receive one 5×7 print of your child for your minimum donation of 5 cans of food/child. Prints will be available for pickup on Friday, October 25 between 11am-1pm and Saturday, October 26 between 11am-1pm. If you are not 100% sure you will be able to make the pickup dates/times, please choose to have your print mailed to you on the registration form! Please remember that your child must be in costume to be photographed, as this is a costume portrait event. The event does not require an appointment, but to make things flow smoothly, we have an online registration form you can fill out prior to coming to the event if you like (just saves you time when you arrive!); just don’t forget to print it out and bring it along, as we will not have copies. You will need one form per child/photograph please. Click here to fill out your online registration, and we look forward to seeing you and your little ghouls!
Meet Holly. After some great fun in the studio we went outside to finish her senior portrait experience with magical light and the perfect wardrobe to match. Holly was very natural and playful which looked fantastic in the final images. Here are some faves from the day. You can see more Sacramento senior pictures at our senior site here. www.enchantedseniors.com
Meet the Medeiros family; we had the pleasure of photographing them in Old Sacramento and had such a great time exploring nooks and crannies around the town with the girls. They were so much fun and up for nearly anything (especially Miss R, as we’re pretty sure she had a crush on James :-). Since their session we’ve gotten to know this family even better and feel so blessed to have met them–so genuine and loving!
Each year it breaks our hearts to tell someone that we can’t fit them in for a family portrait session in time for the holidays, so this year we decided to give an early reminder to anyone thinking about scheduling family portraits between now and holiday-time. In other words, do it now! :-). We are already scheduling sessions into November, but it’s definitely not too late. Please give us a call or shoot us an email if you would like to schedule your session or your portrait design consultation (for new clients). The best time for a family portrait is NOW. We are so often reminded of how precious (and often short) these moments of life can be, and what better way to preserve them with beautiful, timeless portraits?
Just over a week ago we had the great privilege of photographing Kaitlyn & Ian’s wedding at the Firehouse in Old Sacramento. Every wedding we photograph is so special, for so many reasons, and this was no different. The first time we photographed Kaitlyn she was not quite 14; we met her family and did their first session with us when their twins (now 8) were 8 weeks old. Over the past 8 years we have photographed the Gilliland’s countless times (there are 5 kiddos, Kaitlyn the oldest), including Kaitlyn’s senior portraits we did at a destination session in San Diego a few years ago. Not only has the Gilliland family been a long-time client, they have also become dear friends over these past 8 years. So, you can imagine the myriad of emotions we felt when photographing this wedding! James and I both have quite a difficult time holding ourselves together at any wedding, but during this one, we shed tears more than once. It’s hard to describe the emotions when as photographers, we’re not only entrusted to document this momentous day, but the family also includes us in the festivities as we are guests (sorry Steph–Kaitlyn’s mom–for not putting down our cameras and dancing, but I’m sure you’ll forgive us! :-).
Kaitlyn & Ian–thank you both for putting your trust in us and giving us so much time with you both on your wedding day, even when I’m sure you would have rather been enjoying your party. The images with the bridge in the background were toward the end of their reception, when most people would have said “the heck with photos, let’s just enjoy this party!” Totally worth the time (and the walk through Old Sac!). I could write all day about how special this young couple and their family are to us, but I’m sure everyone would rather just get on to looking at this sneak peek from their wedding day. Enjoy!
Photographing a child for the first year milestones is such a privilege! We were lucky enough to get to do it twice for the Agostini family (Miss R is the 2nd!). This is one of my favorite first year series for sure, not just because R is so cute, but also because mom did such a great job at styling her for her sessions! It’s always bittersweet when one of our Bebe Collection members turns one; so fun to see the changes over that first year, but a little sad because we know they’re growing up and we don’t get to see them every few months anymore. At least we (and they) still have the images to enjoy, just like this!
Meet Corinne. We photographed her older sister a couple of years ago and mom told us Corinne was a bit more shy for the camera than Michelina. Well Corinne fooled us all. She was wonderful! We took advantage of all the blooming flowers in the neighborhood and had a great session. Thanks Corinne!
I’ve been going to the San Diego Comic-Con off and on for quite a few years but this year I wanted to do something a little different. Each year hundreds of Con attendees dress up as their favorite characters, some of them quite elaborate. Armed with lighting gear from Phottix, I managed to find an area where I could set up and make portraits of this cosplay wonderland. Another mission of the trip was to make a portrait of one of my favorite artists Gris Grimly. His booth was fantastic and made a perfect background for this moody image. Thank you to all who stopped to share. Here are some faves.

Meet Caitlin. A lovely dancer and fabulously graceful in front of the lens. Here are some faves.
