Happy New Year! Now that the holidays are over, we are so excited for our annual Vintage Valentine event. We have added more beautiful wardrobe, accessories and furnishings to our already huge assortment. This year’s look revolves around vintage peach, cream, and pastel pinks with a large assortment of gorgeous new gowns, along with beautiful new headpieces. We also have a selection of adorable vests, bow ties and caps for boys to coordinate (please call to discuss available sizes for boys and girls). As always, our wardrobe selection will include the colors palettes shown from prior years (babies must be old enough to sit on their own for these sessions). We will be offering beautiful custom Valentine cards and other newly designed offerings made to showcase your timeless portraits. These sessions will fill quickly, so please call early to reserve your date/time.

This year we are offering unique family portrait studio mini-sessions, as we know many of you would like a beautiful updated family portrait and the opportunity for gorgeous holiday cards that will turn the heads of your family and friends! These beautiful studio portraits will stand the test of time and not leave you stressed about unpredictable weather that can often be an issue for outdoor portraits this time of year. In addition to the reduced session fee, we are offering special print and holiday card collections starting at $349. Don’t wait to schedule your session time, as the holidays will be here before you know it!
It’s that time of year again! We are excited to be partnering with the Placer Food Bank once again to collect non-perishable food items for those in need right here in our own community. Please share this information with your family and friends so we can make the biggest possible impact and fill the shelves of the food bank!
As a reminder, you will receive one 5×7 print for your minimum 5 can food donation per child (costumes required). No appointment is necessary, but the first 2 hours tend to be busiest, so if you have older children that don’t nap, the afternoon is a great time to come!
To keep the event running as smoothy as possible, we are once again offering online registration forms you can complete prior to the event. Please remember to print out your forms and bring them with you the day of the event. Please complete one form per child/group (if your children are only being photographed together, you will only need one form). If you choose to add on any prints or digital file options from the event, we will only be accepting cash or checks for this event. You can register online HERE.

For those of you who follow us on Facebook, you may already know that we spent nearly 3 weeks in Europe this summer, both as a vacation with our girls as well as a working trip with several portrait sessions along the way. The primary reason for our visit to Europe was for this particular event, which was a vow renewal to celebrate Keli & Doug’s 20 years of marriage. The best part–Keli has been my best friend (Stef) since 3rd grade, and Keli, Doug and their kids are dear friends of ours (more like family, really). When they invited us to photograph this milestone (and be their guests in their rented villa in Provence for a week), we were thrilled and honored! We have photographed their family many times over the years, but this was definitely the most special; everything was perfect–the gorgeous landscape in France, their beautiful family and enduring love for one another, and all of the little details that Keli planned to ensure a memorable day. Most of the portraits were taken right outside the villa we all stayed in, and the last few were in the surreal little village of Gordes, just a short 10 minutes away. Thank you to Keli and Doug for including us in this milestone in your lives–a week we will never forget!! Stay tuned for images from the other 2 weeks and various locations from our European portrait sessions. :-).
We know that so many moms are often the ones behind the camera and seldom get great images of them WITH their kids! This event makes sure that moms get a great photograph of themselves and their kids for a change! (and makes a great Father’s Day gift…:-). In addition to that, it serves a great purpose; 100% of your $20 donation will go to the Placer Breast Cancer Foundation, a local organization helping fund research to find a cure for breast cancer. This is also a great opportunity for grandmas/aunts/mom-figures to get in the mix; (you may have various groupings–$20 donation per grouping/5×7). This year we will be using this beautiful neutral background, which makes choosing wardrobe easy! Prints will be available for pickup on Friday, May 11 and Saturday, May 12 from 11am-12pm, just in time for Mother’s Day!

October is here, which means Costumes & Cans is just around the corner! For the 10th year, we are hosting this spook-tacular event to collect non-perishable food items for the Placer Food Bank, benefiting those in need right here in Placer County. All you need to do is bring your princesses, ghosts and goblins to our studio on Sunday, October 22 between the hours of 10am-2pm (no appointment needed), along with a minimum 5-can food donation per child (of course more is always welcome and appreciated!) and you will receive a 5×7 print of your adorable costume portrait. We will choose the best image and you will have the choice of picking up your print(s) at the studio Friday, Nov. 3 or Sat., Nov. 4 between 11am-1pm, or you may choose to have your print mailed to you for a $6 shipping fee (PLEASE choose the mailing option if you are not sure if you’ll be able to pick up during specified pick-up times, as we are only at the studio by appointment only).
We make every attempt to keep the event moving efficiently, and one way to make it easier is by filling out, printing and bringing your registration form to the event so you don’t have to fill out upon arrival. You can find the registration form HERE.

Finally, after one of the wettest winters in history, Spring has arrived! It has barely started to warm up and our days still seem to threaten rain at times, but the landscape in our region is bursting with spring color, begging to be the backdrop for your portraits. I honestly cannot remember a more beautiful spring season and would encourage those of you who traditionally wait until the Fall for family portraits to consider changing it up this year–you won’t be disappointed! Our Spring family and high school senior portrait sessions are filling quickly, and weekends even faster. We just wanted to drop a friendly reminder before the weather turns to yet another season (which will be here before we know it!) to schedule your Spring portraits before it’s too late.
