Rachel decided to mix it up with her senior portrait session and make some photos in the studio as well as a location near her home. She nailed it of course, bringing excellent clothing and matching attitude. Dead trees, old bridges, open fields and oak trees were just a few of the things that accompanied Rachel in these lovely images. Thanks Rachel for a great time and thanks Sue (Rachel’s mom) for going on the adventure with us (sorry I made you late for book club!) Awesome job Rachel!
Near the end of Kayla’s consultation, she casually mentioned it would be fun to shoot next to an old VW bus. Again, trying not to laugh out loud I said “Well, that’s a tall order but if one comes up I’ll let you know.”
Ten minutes after she left I ran next door to talk to my neighbor who just happened to have an old bus in his garage and it also just happened to match Kayla’s dress she brough to the consult. He was more than happy to oblige.
Fast forward to the day of the session, Kayla arrived and our neighbor not only parked the bus right out front for her to see, he washed it sparkling clean. Kayla’s jaw nearly hit the ground and I felt like Kris Kringle at the end of Miracle on 34th st. Needless to say, this was a fun session and Kayla did fantastic.
Thanks Kayla for a great session and thanks Tony for the bus!
Meet the lovely Laura.
When we met to discuss her session, while talking about locations Laura suggested a friends place in Penryn.
“It’s got a 100+ year old house, a vineyard, old trees, horses and big open fields and-…”
“Yes, that will be just fine Laura.” (that’s me trying to tone down my excitement)
And fine it was. We arrived late in the day and things were just glowing. It had a very unique look and I felt like I was at some old English ranch. The next hour or two was just spent exploring this fine place and we made plenty of portraits along the way. Laura, wonderful job as always and thanks again for that experience.

One of Emily’s concerns at our design consultation was that she may not know what to do in front of the camera. Well, the day of the session came and within five minutes she acted like a pro. A wonderful look, great choice in clothing, and can’t go wrong with that smile. Emily is a fellow Rosevillian (sp?) and we photographed around our studio & various places in the neighborhood, as well as a few in the studio (GREAT dress!!!). Very nice job Emily!
Jenny decided to head downtown for her senior session so we explored K street for a while. Comfortable in front of the camera (and crowds at times), Jenny seemed a pro at getting the right look. I had a great time finding different places to shoot and an even better time bouncing ideas back and forth with her. Here are a few from the session. Great job Jenny!
I love it when clients suggest an interesting location I haven’t been to before, it’s always an adventure. Alexa wanted her senior portraits taken at the bluffs in Fair Oaks, a fantastic spot full of trees, amber grass, greenery…and attack moths.
Stef and I had such a wonderful time on this session. Alexa did a fantastic job of matching her look/style with the environment, a perfect combo. She brought her mom & sister along who were in charge of the portable clothes changing station (a brown bed sheet!), and moral support.
We are so fortunate to meet so many great people doing what we do. Thank you Alexa for introducing us to you and your family, and for being such an inspiring subject.
I could fill two pages with my favorites from the day, but here are a few.
I knew it was going to be a fun senior session when Stef and I first met Michelina. She wanted the edge of a fashion shoot, but also a “soft flowy” look in a grass field. We were able to do both and Michelina just nailed the look in both environments. She did so well, the second image here won Best in Show last month at our Professional Photographers of Sacramento Valley group. Quite the natural, Michelina did great even when standing knee deep in weeds (with heels!) and surrounded by big lights. It was a great time!
I am a metal fan. So much I’m printing senior portraits on it. And if that’s not cool enough, we are offering senior portraits on acrylic! Check out these beauties. We are proud to offer fine art metal and acrylic for your favorite images. Talk about a statement…the fine art metal prints can be made up to four feet tall! Here are the first few off the presses.
About five minutes in to our design consultation with Sydney for her senior portraits, I knew this was going to be interesting. We discussed several locations and then she mentioned a tomb.
Insert record scratch sound.
Yes, that will be fine.
Couldn’t have asked for better circumstances. Beautiful light, beautiful Sydney, and a really cool location!
Thank you Sydney for being so adventurous and sorry I didn’t tell you about the spiders nest…until after I got the shot.
Brittany is no stranger to the Enchanted studio and has been coming to us for several years now. So when it was time to book her senior session, she was ready. An avid ice skater, she wanted to have some portraits on the ice that were a little different. So she decided to wear her prom dress on the rink. Good call! And just when I thought she was out of cool duds, she transformed into a 1930’s starlet in a beautiful silky green gown. Wow!
