Photographing the Zander’s as they awaited the arrival of their first baby was especially fun for us because he happens to be our dentist. They made the decision to have these portraits made fairly last minute–their sweet baby girl arrived barely a week after these were taken! Heather was amazing to photograph and looked unbelievably awesome for how far along she was. Can’t wait to share the adorable images of sweet baby Bella…stay tuned!

When I first talked on the phone with Melissa about her maternity portraits, I knew we were in for something fun when she mentioned the idea of bringing her firefighter husband’s turnouts to wear for some of her photographs. Well, even my greatest expectations were exceeded when we actually met the Beard’s and found out how fun (and gorgeous!) they are! They were both up for anything and were awesome in front of the camera. They even brought their 1st baby (a beautiful black lab) for some outdoor family shots. Can’t wait to meet their baby boy in a few weeks!

This Saturday, March 14 we’re participating in the 1st-ever Babies and Bumps event at Maidu Community Center in Roseville. The event is geared toward moms and moms-to-be (and dads, too!) and will have all kinds of fun things to see and do, including a bunch of giveaways and drawings. We would love for all of you to come check out our booth (near the Whole Foods booth) and say hi! We’ll be giving away goodies all day (the event runs from 9am-3pm), but the lucky first 100 visitors will get an extra-special treat. We’re also holding a drawing for a free portrait session AND a $100 portrait credit. Hope to see you there! Click HERE for all the event details!

All I can say is that I am still in awe over how amazing Sarah looks! She and hubby Bret came to us from the Bay Area for their maternity session (they’re both from the Sacramento area originally and have family and friends here). Bret was so into their session and was clearly as amazed at his beautiful wife as we were–so sweet! By now they should have had their baby boy, who we’ll be meeting at his newborn session next week…stay tuned!

We first met the Klein family over two years ago when Miss A was just a newborn. Well, she’s two now and not the only baby in this family anymore! They came to capture their last moments as family of three and perhaps catch a few of A as a feisty two-year old. We won’t spoil the surprise as to the new baby Klein, as we’ve already had them back for the newborn portraits; you’ll just have to stay tuned!

It’s version 2 of the Pagel Bebe, this time they decided to have their maternity session on location. We chose the lovely sculpture park in Roseville which looks very warm and golden this time of year. Somebody forgot to tell Miss G this wasn’t necessarily her session so she um…kind of stole the show. She is pretty darn cute though…

Congratulations Lance & Natalie on new baby G! (not to be confused with older sister G)

We had the good fortune of meeting the Ferrell family thanks to our friends at the Silver Spoon children’s boutique. Heidi and Brad are two of the nicest people you’ll ever meet, and holy cow what a gorgeous family!!! Okay, so they are all beautiful, but little Miss L was clearly trying to steal the show from her pretty mama. We liked this first image so much that we put a 30×40 of the full, vertical version on display at the Silver Spoon (we’re pretty sure Heidi and Brad liked it too, as they now have a beautifully framed 30×40 fine art canvas of their own!). What’s even more fun is that we got to meet the newest little Ferrell earlier today for his newborn session….stay tuned!

Rich & Heather are our oldest Sacramento friends (actually Stef knew Rich in junior high) and it has been a great ride experiencing many of life’s great adventures together. The news of a baby Landrum was no exception and the suspense is killing us. Would you guys just peek already??

I don’t remember a maternity session where the interaction between the couple overshadowed the belly, but these two were just electric. A wonderful warm connection that really shows here.

Congratulations you two, we are so proud to be part of this (and many other) important moments of your life.

These gorgeous people are the Coursey family. Mama is preggo with a baby girl this time around and wanted to capture this special time with big brother, B. It’s funny because more and more these days we’re finding a connection other than the photography with many of our clients…scary it’s such a small town! After chatting a bit, I realized that dad and I went to rival high schools, graduated the same year, and knew a whole bunch of the same people. I’m pretty sure we must have met at some point along the way due to all of the mutual friends. Makes what we do that much more fun! Good luck to the Coursey’s on the exciting event coming up soon!
