We are James & Stefani Hays, shown here with our daughters, Reilly, 6, and Teagan, 4. We moved from San Diego (James' hometown) to Roseville (my hometown) over 5 years ago. James always had a love of photography, but our serious passion for it began when Reilly was a baby...we just couldn't keep the camera off of her! After James informed me he would be setting up a studio in our basement to photograph Reilly, the former financial planner in me decided it was also going to become a place where we could photograph others. Well, here we are 5 years later and could have never imagined that Enchanted Images would become what it has. We feel incredibly blessed to be working together doing something we both love. Not only that, we get to meet and work with the best people and create portraits that may have more significance than we'll ever know.
We have a blast during every session, whether we're photographing a newborn baby, a high school senior, or a 2-year old who isn't particularly keen on being photographed! Every session is a new challenge for us to create a work of art that will likely hang in someone's home for many years to come. Most of our sessions take place in and around our Roseville home studio, but we also love the chance to go on location or cover special events.
Aside from photography, James is a huge (did I say HUGE?) music freak, still talking on the phone with his best friend from high school every Tuesday about what new music came out that day. My passions are, of course, my husband, my kids, and photography, but I'm also a self-admitted TV junkie. Unlike many, my vice isn't reality shows or crime scenes, but rather shows like Friday Night Lights, The Office, & re-runs of Gilmore Girls. What can I say? I need a break at the end of the day!
